Loneliness support
Feeling lonely tonight? Start with a smaller kind of connection
Loneliness is not proof that you are unwanted. It is a signal that some form of contact, recognition or belonging is missing right now.
Name the kind of company you need
Ask whether you want to be listened to, reassured, distracted or simply near another person. Different loneliness needs different contact, and naming it reduces the pressure to find one perfect person who can fix everything.
Choose low-pressure contact
A short message, a familiar voice note, sitting somewhere public or spending time with a pet can count. Connection does not have to begin with a difficult disclosure. It can begin with one safe point of contact.
When you do not want to contact anyone
Write what you wish somebody understood about tonight. Putting the experience into words can soften isolation and make it clearer what kind of support would feel possible tomorrow.
Do not leave this as something you only read. Talk it through and receive one step shaped around today.
