Privacy
TalkToMe is designed to let you try the experience with as little personal information as possible. This page explains what the service uses and where your information may go.
What you choose to share
You may type or speak reflections about your mood, circumstances and goals. Do not include information you do not want processed as part of the conversation. Voice input is converted to text by your browser or device where supported.
Information stored on your device
Your check-in progress, journal entries, preferences and conversation continuity may be stored in your browser’s local storage. This helps TalkToMe remember the thread on that device. Clearing browser data or using another device may remove or hide that history.
AI processing
Messages sent to the automated companion are processed to create a relevant reply. TalkToMe does not claim to provide confidential therapy, medical diagnosis or emergency monitoring. Avoid using it for information that requires professional confidentiality.
Payments
Membership payments are handled by Square. TalkToMe does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Square’s own privacy terms apply to payment processing.
Safety
The service may display crisis resources when words suggest immediate risk. It cannot assess, locate or monitor you. In the UK, call 999 or go to A&E if there is immediate danger.
Your choices
- You can stop using the service at any time.
- You can clear locally stored TalkToMe data through your browser settings.
- You can manage payment information and future renewals through Square.
